Nina Hamid’s start is a story like so many others. It’s a story of believing in your dreams, and the dream for Nina, was to have her own salon. She’s always believed that with hard work, passion for what you do, and some good old fashioned elbow grease, anyone can accomplish whatever it is they set their sights on.

Nina immigrated to the United States when she was 17 years old. She had lived in several countries before settling down in Arizona, seeing and experiencing many different points of view, ways of living, cultures, and beliefs. Nina’s past led to purpose, striving to create a salon where anyone can walk in and feel immediately welcome, regardless of age, culture, race, or anything else.
 

Before fulfilling her dream of opening a salon, Nina had been a make-artist for 10 years, had 2 children and a 3rd on the way. With nothing more than hardworking and patience, she managed everything from the design, working with the city, getting the permits, plans, and taking care of everything else that goes into opening a business.
 

Nina manages Modern Love with the purpose to help anyone feel beautiful.

"The salon was opened to make people feel beautiful and loved by exemplifying the radiance of his or her individuality. This is what we teach our children to manifest for their future: a world where people are praised for their individualistic beauty and not tormented for their differences. As a family we named this idealistic notion Modern Love." - Nina
